The Edimax BR-6435nD provides simultaneous 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless network connectivity for maximum flexibility of use. iQ Setup
iQ Setup is a smart feature of Edimax routers that allows even the most inexperienced users to set up an Edimax router quick and effortlessly. Untuk itu, resolusi video haruslah disesuaikan dengan seberapa besar upload speed anda. Semakin besar upload speed anda, maka semakin besar pula resolusi video yang dapat digunakan. Bagaimana Cara Konfigurasi IP Address Secara Manual

Untuk melakukan konfigurasi IP address secara manual, ada beberapa perbedaan yang perlu anda ketahui. Hal ini berkaitan dengan Operation System (OS) yang anda gunakan seperti Windows XP, Vista ataukah Win 7. Saya akan membaginya berdasarkan Operation System dan ikutilah langkah-langkah berikut :
Windows XP
1. Pada Windows taskbar, klik tombol Start dan kemudian klik Control Panel.
2. Klik dua kali atau klik kanan ikon Local Area Connection. Pada Tab General untuk Local Area Connection Properties, klik dua kali Internet Protocol TCP/IP. (lihat gambar)
 3.  Pilih Use the following IP address, seperti yang ditunjukkan dalam gambar di bawah ini. Isi kolom ip address dengan range ip address 192.168.2.2 - 254 (jika anda menggunakan router Edimax), Subnet mask 255.255.255.0 dan Default gateway 192.168.2.1 (default ip address router Edimax). Kemudian pilih Use the following DNS server addresses dan pengisiannya mengacu kepada DNS dari internet service provider (ISP) yang anda gunakan dalam kesempatan ini saya menggunakan DNS Telkom Speedy. Setelah selesai jangan lupa klik OK

Windows Vista dan 7  (kedua window ini memeiliki kesamaan cara konfogurasinya)

1. Pada Windows taskbar, klik tombol Start. Ketik "ncpa.cpl" (tanpa tanda petik) pada kolom seperti gambar di bawah, lalu tekan Enter pada keyboard.

2.  Klik kanan Local Area Connection, lalu klik Properties. (lihat gambar)
 
3.  Pada Tab Network untuk Local Area Connection Properties, klik dua kali Internet Protocol TCP/IP. (lihat gambar)

4.  3.  Pilih Use the following IP address, seperti yang ditunjukkan dalam gambar di bawah ini. Pengertian secara harfiah (berdasarkan kosakata) Repeat berarti mengulang dan Range Extend berarti memperluas jangkauan. Lalu apakah kedua perangkat tersebut memiliki fungsi yang sama dan mengapa? Jawabannya adalah tentu iya, karena setelah berhasil mengulang signal wireless Access Point tentunya akan memperluas jangkaun dari wireless tersebut. Perangkat Repeater atau Range Extender berfungsi sebagai pengulang atau memperluas jangkauan sinyal Wireless Router (Access Point) sehingga client yang letaknya terpisah oleh jarak yang agak berjauhan masih bisa mengakses atau terhubung ke jaringan internet. Tanya : Jadi kapan anda memerlukan perangkat Repeater/Extender ?
Jawab : Saat kondisi sinyal wifi di ruangan/area tertentu mulai melemah dan anda sangat memerlukan koneksi ke internet pada ruangan/area tersebut.
Tanya : Seberapa jauhkah sinyal wifi dipancarkan kembali oleh perangkat Repeater/Extender ?
Jawab : umumnya perangkat ini akan memancarkan kembali sinyal wifi antara 20-25 meter dengan kondisi lingkungan bebas interfensi.

Tanya : Mengapa saya mengalami kesukaran dalam setting perangkat Repeater/Extender ?
Jawab : Sebenarnya dengan EW-7438RPn, kesukaran yang anda hadapi akan hilang karena dengan fitur IQ setup saya yakin akan mempermudah anda melakukan penyetingan. Namun ada beberapa hal yang perlu diperhatikan :
1. Jika perangkat router wireless anda menggunakan tipe enskripsi TKIP, saya sarankan dirubah menjadi AES. Menurut pengalaman saya, beberapa kegagalan saat konfigurasi perangkat Repeater/Extender diakibatkan oleh hal tersebut.
2. Periksalah apakah access point anda menerapkan MAC Address filter. Fitur MAC Address filter biasanya untuk membatasi koneksi ke router wireless berdasarkan mac address, artinya perangkat yang dapat terhubung ke  router wireless tersebut hanyalah perangkat-perangkat yang mac addressnya sudah terdaftar dalam daftar MAC Address filter.
3. Jika anda menghubungkan router wireless dengan router mikrotik, untuk setingan mungkin anda perlu pengetahuan khusus karena terkadang ada beberapa setingan rules yang membuat perangkat Repeater/Extender tidak dapat terhubung dengan internet. Walaupun anda sudah merasa berhasil menghubungkannya ke router wireles.
Tanya : Dimana saya dapat meletakan  perangkat Repeater/Extender ?
Jawab : Cara pemasangan yang benar yaitu 1,5 meter dari lantai atau umumnya pada stop kontak yang sejajar dengan saklar lampu. Yang perlu diperhatikan saat anda hendak memasang, sebaiknya perhatikan proses site survey pada IQ Setup. Lakukan koneksi, saat kuat sinyal router wireless berkisar antara 35-40% atau dengan indikasi sinyal wifi 2-3 bar. Untuk mengantisipasi diskoneksi dengan router wireless.

IP Camera atau yang sering disebut Network kamera merupakan perangkat yang bertugas melakukan capture dan mentransmisikan gambar secara langsung melalui jaringan lokal maupun internet. Gambar tersebut dapat berupa video Motion JPEG (MJPEG), MPEG-4 atau H.264 menggunakan berbagai protokol jaringan, upload gambar individu berupa MJPEG menggunakan FTP, e-mail dan HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol). Karena tujuan utamanya yaitu untuk memantauan (monitoring) area publik, kantor, rumah dan perilaku orang di lingkungan tertentu, sehingga kegiatan tesebut lebih dikenal sebagai surveillance.

Komponen utama kamera jaringan terdiri dari lensa, image sensor, beberapa prosesor, memori dan perangkat interface tambahan. Fungsi prosesor dalam kamera digunakan untuk mengolah gambar, kompresi, analisis video dan jaringan fungsionalitas. Sedangkan memori digunakan untuk menyimpan firmware network camera dan untuk rekaman video lokal. Untuk lebih mengetahui bagian/komponen apa saja yang terdapat pada sebuah network camera, perhatikan gambar blok diagram di bawah ini.

Seperti halnya komputer (PC), network camera memiliki ip address tersendiri. Umumnya ip address untuk network camera diset dari pabrik dengan ciri khas tersendiri, sebagai contoh default ip address network camera Edimax yaitu 192.168.2.3. Namun ketika network camera dihubungkan ke router merek lain (DHCP Server telah di Enable/diaktifkan) dan dengan segmen ip address yang berbeda, maka secara otomatis camera akan mengikuti konfigurasi yang terdapat pada jaringan  tersebut.

    Motion-Triggered Snapshots and Recording
    The IC-3015Wn is designed with a powerful multi-area motion detection system. When motion is detected in the specified areas, the network camera will immediately take a snapshot of the detected motion and send the snapshot to the user via email or FTP. The multi-area motion detection function also works with the network camera’s recording feature.
